WACKY TIKI - Demo (2005)

    APPLE PIE-- these two words leave with you with a big smile on the face. why either you think of a movie where some guy experiments with warm apple pie, or you think of a band from erfurt that came together in february 2004. alex, sascha and oli first spent most of their time playing with their own bodies before they decided to form a band, but soon the trio knew it was cooler to have songs when you're in a band. so they wrote about what they were interested in most: bouncin titties and vaginas. the band's seduction began to develop and apple pie played their first shows in the following months. already at this time, the first unknown faces sang songs like "ray is gay", which also later became a fan favorite. by the end 2004, apple pie were excited like small schoolgirls, because they were looking for the next goal of the band. the boys finally wanted a demo, but they needed more songs. the new songs were faster, more sophisticated or simply just joke songs. sascha came up with most of his ideas while sitting on the toilet and alex wrote the songs at times when he should have been doing something completely different. in february 2005 they were ready to take their material to the studio. the resulting recording was known as the "wacky tiki-demo. only 200 were made and its now out of print. the live shows of the youngsters are a mixture of punk rock and entertainment. jokes about body openings and its contents or making fun of girls are pretty regular... just like in pre-school. in april 2006, the small indie label b12 records noticed the band and signed them immediately. the EP "the galaxy they came from" was released.

This is the first official Apple Pie release we put out in 2005. Before that, we just recorded some stuff on cassette tapes in our practice-room.
We went in the studio for 3 days to record 14 songs. I can't recommend that, but we couldn't afford more studio time.
When the "Wacky Tiki" demo was released, all of the 300 copies were sold out pretty fast. Now this is your chance to grab this little treasure for free. I also wrote some interessting stuff for every song. Have fun!
